Do I need a permit to cut down a tree and where can I obtain one?  Depending on the size and type of tree, or its location, you will be required to obtain a tree removal permit.  There is no charge for this service.  Persons who do not obtain a permit prior to the removal of a protected tree can face fines of up to $5,000 per violation as well as extensive replacement requirements!  For guidelines on tree removal, visit http://www.eustis.org/launch/trees.htm or call at (352) 483-5464.  Permits may be obtained at the Development Services Division Office located at 4 N. Do I need a permit for a yard or garage sale and where can I obtain one?  Yes, all garage/yard sales are required to have a permit which can be obtained at the Eustis Planning Department located at 4 N. Grove Street, City Hall.  The phone number is:  (352) 483-5460.  The fee for this permit is $5.00.  There is a limit of 2 permits per location per year.  For renters, the permit application must be signed by the owners of the residence.

What is the number for Animal Control?   Lake County Animal Services is responsible for providing animal control services for the City of Eustis.  Eustis residents should contact Lake County Animal Services during normal office hours for animal control services, Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) at (352) 343-9688.  For emergency animal control services after normal office hours, on holidays, and on weekends, Eustis residents should contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at (352) 343-2101.

Does the City have any property for sale?  Currently, the City does not have any property declared as surplus and listed for sale.  However, if the City Commission declares any particular City-owned property as surplus, that property will be offered for sale to the general public.  Until that time, offers on any piece of City-owned property will not be entertained.
